Youth Mentoring
The most important thing we can do for our youth is to "influence"
Can you remember when you were young? How we thought we had all the answers. How we made the decision on who to associate "hang-out" with. What we did and where we went. If we were fortunate to have good values, then we had a chance on staying on the right track. Peer pressure was more manageable. In my case even though; I was raised with a moral religious foundation for which today I am grateful, but , it was just a matter of time that I went off track. My foundation got me back on track and I taught these values to my children. As parents, it's not always easy to talk to our kids about the dangers of life for which we have navigated though experience.
Of course we try and talk to our kids, and in some cases are successful. If that is your story, then keep doing what works
Our programs are designed to teach & influence
However, if you are not so fortunate, and find "no matter what you do, you can't seem to reach your children", then consider taking advantage of what we have to offer. Let us help you influence your children. These programs are group session. Your children's peers are there a s well. Our experience is they mentor each other just by working through the lesson content.
Mentoring
Community mentoring provides an environment for kids to meet weekly. Mentors are assigned to the children. The role of the mentor is to help influence the mentee by defining goals, setting a road map and staying on track
Teaching
In cooperation with mentoring, we provide teaching on the reality of life facing the youth of today. Structured learning content along with workbooks and focused subject matter exercises are used to guide them into discussion and participation
